In order for members to get full access to all Perks, they'll need to connect their paycheck to Palolo. This is a one-time process that requires updating their direct deposit settings in your payroll system, and linking their personal bank account to Palolo.
Depending on your payroll provider and employee preferences, there are several ways this can be done:
- Members can automatically link to payroll and update their direct deposit through Palolo
- Members can request that you update their direct deposit settings for them
- Members can manually update their direct deposit settings in your payroll system
Read more about each option below.
Automatically link to payroll
This option is the fastest and most secure. In Palolo, the member will be asked to enter their payroll login credentials and verify their account (usually with a verification code sent by email or text). This will link their payroll account to Palolo so they can automatically update their direct deposit settings.
Request update
When a member selects this option, Palolo will email you (and any other Palolo HQ Admins) requesting that you update the member's direct deposit settings in your payroll system. You'll need to go to payroll and update their account and routing numbers to the ones provided by Palolo. Learn more about how to complete a paycheck connection request.
Note: The member will be responsible for setting the destination bank account for their paycheck in Palolo; you do not need to update this for them.
Manual update
Instead of updating their direct deposit settings in Palolo, this option requires the member to log in to payroll, go to their direct deposit settings, and update their account and routing numbers to the ones provided by Palolo.
Depending on how your payroll is configured, you may receive a notification from your payroll provider asking you to approve these changes. Palolo will also send you an email asking you to verify that the member has updated their direct deposit settings correctly. This is an optional but highly recommended step. If you don't verify their direct deposit in Palolo, we won't be able to verify that all settings have been updated correctly by the member until their first paycheck is routed to Palolo.
