Before you can start using certain Perks like Pay Access and Saving, you'll need to connect your paycheck to Palolo. This is a one-time process that requires updating your direct deposit settings in your payroll system.
Depending on your payroll provider and preferences, there are several ways this can be done:
- Automatically link to your payroll system through Palolo (fastest, most secure option)
- Request that your employer update your direct deposit settings for you
- Manually update your direct deposit settings in your payroll system
Here's what these options look like in Palolo:

Automatically link to payroll
This option is the fastest and most secure. In Palolo, you'll be asked to enter your payroll username and password and verify your account (usually with a verification code sent by email or text). This lets you automatically link your direct deposit settings with Palolo.
What you'll need:
- The username and password you use to log in to your payroll system
- The username and password you use to log in to your bank, OR the account and routing numbers for your bank account
- Access to your phone or email account (to receive a verification code)
Request update
When you select this option, Palolo will email your employer requesting that they update your direct deposit settings in your company's payroll system. We'll provide them with an account and routing number that's tied to your account in Palolo, which they'll then add to the payroll system to connect to Palolo.
You'll also be asked to add your personal bank account information in Palolo so we know where to send your paycheck as well as funds for the Perks you've used.
What you'll need:
- The username and password you use to log in to your bank, OR the account and routing numbers for your bank account
Manual update
Instead of updating your direct deposit settings automatically in Palolo, this option requires you to log in to your payroll system, go to your direct deposit settings, and update your account and routing numbers to the ones provided by Palolo.
