Connecting your paycheck to Palolo is a one-time process that requires updating your direct deposit settings in your payroll system. Once completed and verified, you'll have full access to all of Palolo's Perks.
- Your social security number and ID
- The username and password you use to log in to your payroll system (if you don't have this, don't worry - there are other ways to connect!)
- The username and password you use to log in to your bank, OR the account and routing numbers for your bank account
To start connecting your paycheck, log in to Palolo and go to the Paycheck tab. Here you'll see the option to connect your paycheck. We'll walk you through each step below.
Verify your identity
First, enter your personal information so we can verify you are who you say you are. You may also be asked to provide a photo ID during this step. Learn more about verifying your identity.
Once verified, return to the Paycheck tab to continue.
Choose how to connect
Depending on the payroll system your employer uses, you'll have a few different options for connecting your paycheck to Palolo. Read more about these options.
If you see the option to link to your payroll system and you know your payroll login information, we highly recommend choosing this option. It's the fastest, most secure method and allows you to start using Perks right away. You'll be asked to log in using a secure portal in Palolo, and provide a verification code sent to your phone.
If you don't see the option to link to your payroll system, or don't know your login information, it's usually best to request that your employer change your settings for you.
Set your destination bank account
Your destination bank account is where we'll send your paycheck on payday, after accounting for any Perks you've used.
If you linked to your payroll system in the previous step, the bank account(s) from your payroll system may already be added automatically. Double check the account information, then select Set account.
Otherwise, add your personal bank account by logging in to your bank through Palolo or by entering your bank account information directly. Once you've added your bank account, you'll be taken back to the paycheck connection steps. Double check the account information, then select Set account.
Change your direct deposit settings
During this last step, you'll update your direct deposit settings in your payroll system. This lets your payroll system send paychecks to Palolo so you can access your earned wages (and all of Palolo's other Perks) any time.
If you chose to link to your payroll system in the previous steps, follow the directions on the screen to do this directly in Palolo:
Otherwise, depending on which option you chose above, you'll see the option to submit a request to your employer or instructions on how to update your direct deposit settings directly.
If you're making the changes yourself, log in your payroll system in another browser window and update your direct deposit settings to the account and routing numbers shown in Palolo.
What happens next?
If you chose to link to your payroll system automatically, you'll be able to use Perks right away.
If you requested that your employer update your direct deposit settings, they'll receive a notification to review and make these changes. Once completed (this usually takes 1-2 days) you'll be able to use your Perks.
If you updated your direct deposit settings in your payroll system, you'll need to wait until we receive your first paycheck, or until your employer verifies your changes, before you can use certain Perks.
